You are right,it was Randy. Do you remember Steps Ahead? I think Eliane gig with them a spell,great stuff. One of my favorites was "The Elements" I have the Cd, "Spirit River" Flora Purim on vocals, Airto, Bill Evans on Sax,Mark Egan who played with Metheny on bass and the great Danny Gottlieb on drums--a must for any crossover,pop,post bop fan. This is the real S**t ,not like Gees Mayonaise S**t !

Pastorius died in my hometown in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I Really liked his bass playing. Anyway what I don't understand is that many people say that kenny "C**k Blower" G said that he does not want to be called a jazz player yet he plays the saxophone and he did shitty renditions of Jazz Classics. How he has the nerve to defecate on my jazz heroes just simply irks me and he shouldn't be within 100 miles of a saxophone.

yellow, check out grappeli doing Crazy Rhythm, on his 80 bithday! Thats some swinging S**t man. He also played with The late great Jaco Pastorius, the greatest electric bassist ever, he died so young. He has videos also he was to great to discribe-- Im sure you know him from Weather Report.

Oh, no comparison! He has some Videos on tube, he was astounding! Do you know Gato Barbieri? You must check out Gato on tube, santana plays on many of his recordings,Gato is one of my favorite Sax players, passion player, his sax is higly electric and he still kicks ass at 68!
