If theres no data to backup that claim, then it would stand to reason that theres no data to deny it either. Either way you slice it, PC's have the major share of the worlds home computers (and we are excluding silly games consoles).

I'd like some of what you're smoking - there is no such thing as "Windows based". The Macbook Air uses fundamentally the same hardware as any other laptop, and like the Macbook /Pro, is thus quite capable of running Windows.

Furthermore, there is no data whatsoever to backup the claim that 95% of all "world home computers" run Windows.

who do you watch a movie? if it has no cd drive well you can download but then again cds are used alot in bussiness.

how is that the same... this laptop clearly has a screen. its like having a tv without a built in dvd player maybe?

this is for professional use obviously, due to it's PORTABILITY. I'm sure its a marketing technique to have teh dvd drive seperate, but some people just dont need it anymore. If you wanted a laptop to watch movies get a portable dvd player.

A computer with no CD drive is like a tv without a screen. What's the point? I could make the world's smallest tv but the 20 inch screen is an ad on.

its doesnt come with the standers things a laptop is ment to have...for example...A FREAKING CD DRIVE!!!!
