I know how you feel! SenseiNinja is right though, you have to master the technique! Don't give up on it. My dad is strong as an ox, and we would do the same thing. He was strong enough to pull out of an MMA style armbar I put him in. BUT one time he got a hold of my wrist, I feinted a face strike, and I was able to throw him using an elaborate Aikido style wrist throw. To win against the stronger man, he must not have his mind on your technique until it is too late.

By kizure7 [Affiliate User] 1195034192 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen you practice anything enough, your slowly going to recognize where your weakness is and why it was not effectrive at first. The more you practice these techniques, the more you really going to appreciate it correctly applied! Keep practicing my friend. I hope your always in a positive mindframe and never give up!
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1194914876 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI also appreciate your concerns, don't get me wrong. It is my strong suggestion that you reaaly pratice this with your father and obtain and master the technique rather than convincing yourself it does not work.
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1194914522 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have great trouble with trying to quench the rising level of aggression in a big guy without resorting to high-level joint destruction and soft-tissue attacks! Plus these days the fact is some guys are bigger and stronger than ever before. Nutrition, science, and drugs have created a whole new type of guy. As always I thank and respect you for your videos SenseiNinja2.
By northstarfist [Affiliate User] 1194913120 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI appreciate the additional techniques against larger opponents! I also never mean offense with my comments. We learned many Hapkido locks, traps and submissions when I studied Hoshinsool. I would then go home and practice with my father and very few actually worked, my Dad would overwhelm my center of gravity before I could manipulate his.
By northstarfist [Affiliate User] 1194912467 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI thought I already did. But I also want you to know that strength versus strenngth matches are not what Martial Arts is about. Its technique applied properly against strength. Your comment only tels me that you have not really understood utualizing your "Full Body". Your weight and dynamic movement will overcome a strength of a wrist or an arm or a leg. I hope that helps.
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1194911921 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeno matter the size use kuji everyday or shuto to mikuzuki and im sure that will tell your opponent that you arnt to be played with, but be careful because a shuto is a divestating attack...

By broadhead6 [Affiliate User] 1194645968 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIntelligent thinking is required, if this doesn't work, you must quickly transfer your attacks to what will such as groins and eye balls. Simply putting your fingers into a eye or kicking the family jewels. I hope that helps.
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1194370303 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMy Dad used to work Nuclear power plant security and was trained in CQB by ex-Special Forces soldiers. Plus he stands at 6'4" and 325lbs of muscle. While I in my twenties stand only at 5'7" and 160 lbs. I quickly learned that many defensive tactics were useless against a guy his size. I would be grateful if you could include tactics against much larger opponents!
By northstarfist [Affiliate User] 1193842887 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGreat Techniques to add to my arsenal! However I must point out that these may defenses may not be my first reaction in this situation. Reason being that when I began learning Hoshinsool with my Chung Do Kwan teacher I practiced with my Dad. My Dad quickly taught me that what may work on the average thug doesn't work against the above-average guy!
By northstarfist [Affiliate User] 1193842556 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe end results should be to give him the money and walk home Thank God that nothing serious happened! If they begin to attack you is when you have top move and do whatever it takes to survive.
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1190722953 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecan I ask what if the hostagetaker struggles and then cuts you? of some reasons like losing grip or he is just to strong or other reasons that is similar, talking about the first technique,is there other ways for that to work in those situations stated?

By braveking01 [Affiliate User] 1187337119 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYES! Your absolutely right. But I do show Cops how to head butt them and grab the knife so it does leave you space to perform this technique. I am going to post more because of the "What if???" that is out there.
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1187138434 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeidk about this one... becuz if they have u like in the first one wouldnt they be touchin the knife to ur throat?
By DeadlyHands [Affiliate User] 1187117580 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou must become aware and prepared for such things so that your mental strength will pull you through if anything happens! Practice and become confident! Sometimes you assilants will see confidence in you and they become alittle scared! That would be an advantage for you! You will do well if you understand my words and practice seriously!
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1185880625 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAs I have said before, when your not prepared for things like that, your body freezes up because of your fears! When we say the Mind and the Body must become one. That would be a classic example.
By SenseiNinja2 [Affiliate User] 1185880481 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif you've ever had a knife held to you then you know how scary it is. I had sum1 hold their pocket knife at school to my stomach and he threatened to stab me if i didnt give him my money (he knew i had money on me and he was a pothead so im guessing he wanted it to pay for his northern lights or sumthing). I was scared shitless cuz he wasnt screwin around.
By navysealboy62 [Affiliate User] 1185879815 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes! Teh4lift, that was going to be one of the 4 techniques that I will post. Beat me to the punch! I hate it when people do that! But your a good friend and I don't mind them. LOL!
