Fair point mate but why do people insist on comin onto roses video posts and sayin things like 'Eric Clapton is better than John Squire' do they like being textually abused? ha ha.

I think arguing about who's better between John Squire and Eric Clapton is a little unfair. Clapton is a blues guitarist, while Squire was playing in this late Madchester/Brit pop scene. And he really did put as much music into it as he could.

Music is all opinion anyway, how can one guitarist be better then another, what do you measure it on, playing speed? What they play? (impossible as they are two different styles)

Look at them. This gig is electrifying. The band are so tight! As a band, oh my god what an affect these guys have had on me - I LOVE THEM, my son will love them and no doubt his son will love them.

yes, you are a prick. that man is john squire, not 'guitarist'. when you can play guitar a tenth as good as he can, that's when you can make a comment.

Brown normally doesn't sing well live but when he does - oh ya belter he nails it and it's on the money.

But like everyone has said here it was never and is never about the chords he hits, his styles are just amazing and he forever will be a hero of mine!

And Stone Roses, Reni, Mani, Squire and Brown are amazing. What a band!

Reni is amazing -- perfect drummer and co-singer also, making so good harmonies.

You take away any of The Roses and they are no longer The Stone Roses. It gets no better than this ...... thats synergy for you.

Despite the voice, he´s a legend... Listen lo F.E.A.R., Keep What Ya Got, Can´t See Me, Sister Rose and other songs in solitary... Maybe you still could have a litlle of Stone Roses...

Ian's not capable of singing in tune live. If you can ignore the lack of tune he does have an interesting voice at least. I'm not sure how he sung in tune in the studio- maybe he's only able to sing without he pressure of a live show?

his voice is a bit dreary but its fitting and its what makes them differant. I agree his voice sounds much better on studio recorded songs though

Reni is a killer drummer, that perfect 16 time rhythm....solid genius....

As much as I loved this band when they came out, the more live videos I see, the more I think Ian's voice really S**ks . Not a good performer. Great in the studio
