you know i like the vids but the place i live would have you pulled over for the cam. in your hand while driving it is on the law books here so i guess you might want to check on the laws before you push to many more buttons other then that keep them comming its about time someone said enough is enough.

The sad thing about these videos is that you need a camera and the patience of a saint just to maintain your Constitutional right to be free of interrogation without cause. If they weren't being filmed, you KNOW they would've had the tasers and clubs in action.

"Nurse" ; I think its an almost universal instinct for citizens within a free society to try & assist its public servants. what is at issue here is the "free" portion of the "free society".If we accept (let alone defend) the institutionalization of this sort of check point,it will expand both in frequency and scope. Power always wants to be used. I'm interested to know how far these agents could intrude upon you before you would protest? If they asked everyone for I.D. or searched every car?

cops are really scary... i can not beleive that we are in america with the ways that the cops are . they really torment us in colorado springs colorado ..

But you are contained in the confines of you OWN vehicle, AND those highways, the agents, ALL government officials...are PAID for by US. If the "government" owns those roads...then essentially, any citizen who pays taxes is part owner also. Our government works FOR us, they are not an entity divorced from society who are somehow above the law.

Theres a difference. House to house checks would be invading on your property and thus couldn't be done without a warrant. Your driving on public highway, owned by the government.

These agents could be terrorists mocked up as border patrol.

Americans aren't supposed to be treated like prisoners by government employees. Covert ops on the American public are supposed to be illegal for a reason, we don't know who's pulling us over, could be terrorists.

These checkpoints aren't about safety or security. There about intimidation & control.

Once again, respect is something that's earned, not granted because of one's title or the uniform one wears. We don't have nobility in the United States after all...or do we?

Also - asking questions of armed federal agents conducting suspicionless operations in the interior of the country is not disrespectful, it's quite American.

Border Patrol Agents put their lives on the line to protect this country. Notice the mourning band across his badge honoring a BP Agent who was run over by a drug smuggler during a high speed pursuit days before this video. You have no reason to disrespect them.

So why do you hate America and all her freedoms so much?

BTW, sobriety checkpoints are even less effective than internal Homeland Security checkpoints. Roving patrols are ten times more effective than checkpoints and use fewer man-hours to remove more drunk drivers from the road.

So why are you so ready to treat everyone like a criminal absent reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing?

I also have links to sobriety checkpoint guidelines from the Tucson Police, the Pima County Sheriff, and the Mesa Police that clearly indicate individuals stopped are not required to talk to the stopping officer, roll down their window, or otherwise interact with the stopping officer absent reasonable suspicion.
