It seems like he started talking this way after he moved to New York during the Katrina Hurricanes. Maybe he picked up the accent from some of the Jamaican's up there. Before he went to New York, he just sounded country and I couldn't understand a word that he was saying. I actually like this better.

He's from The NO homie. Down that wat there is a heavy creole(African speaking french really) draw in their accents. When they speak to people that aren't from where they are they change the way they speak. But man they sound like africans when you really get em mad... Real Talk
