It's going to be hard to do as well as the novel, but I think it could just do it. It looks fairly amazing

The point is, is that this comic book doesn't follow the conventional settings that all comics books do. It mixes in deep psychological and anthropological stigma to the characters. They seem a lot more real without powers, so it doesn't feel like its a fantasy. It really does live up to the meaning of a graphic-novel.

Think about it, the book is set place in what major historical setting? What profound thing is happening? If men can't control that kind of power, why would they be able to handle another kind of super-power? Does power make men superior? Does power corrupt men? Or, does men corrupt power? Look at the world around you, what do you see? Do you see the injustices? I do. What are those who have such power doing to better the world? Super-strength doesn't change the fact that you are human. Evolve.

That's the line in the movie... in the comic it's even better...

The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"

And I'll look down, and whisper "no."

The book is about innately corrupt natures of men. Power only serves to offend. That's the purpose of the book. It asks all the questions that no other comic asked in history concerning their powers. Is it possible that men could control such physical abilities instictively? Or would we be destroyed by our power? This is a work that deconstructs the structure of the super-hero. More them to possess such mutant abilities would only contradict the message of his work. Read the book.
