Colbert isn't really making personal attacks but attacks on the administration, their decisions, and their policies. Freedom of political speech is one of the basic values of our country. Suggesting it is inappropriate to criticize the government is absurd.

Every time I watch this I'm wondering how there isn't a little red laser dot somewhere near Stephen Colbert's forehead. Imagine comprehensively destroying the president's little bubble of delusion right to his face. Like many have already commented, this took balls of solid steel.
