Because I wish I had seen some good sound/video clips of the Borla XR-1 and K&N Typhoon intake before I bought them, here they are on my '04 STi. First clip of each set is the car with just the Borla XR-1 .....second clip is with the XR-1 and the K&N Typhoon Short-Ram intake. Everything is labeled anyway. I can't tell all that much difference in sound, although many say that the Typhoon intake makes it louder. Let me know what you think. I'd say it purrs a little more, there's a bit more whine from the engine bay and the Typhoon adds some smoothness to the engine. Anyway, enjoy! Thanks to Mike for helping me out!

    You can turn some of the AWD cars into FWD, there's a little box in the top left side of the engine, you just need to put a fuse into it. Though I have no idea why you would want to make it FWD.

    Good stuff man, It does sound different with the intake. Less throatier without the intake and a little more whine with it on. Sounds good though, you might want to get it tuned or get an AP to work out your A/F.

    Yes, they are very functional. They feed air directly into the intercooler which is the silver rectangular part at the rear of the engine bay with the big red STi logo on it that you see in the first couple clips. '04-'05 STi's have slightly bigger scoops and intercoolers than their regular WRX brothers.
