This is a role that was written FOR A WOMAN. The opera is called LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, it's routinely done by every important company in the world. If you're suggesting that Lucia has ever been seriously sung by castrato, you're making yourself look foolish.

It goes to show how SO ignorant YOU are. Alot of the operas in those days were sung by castrote, and countertenors, and many of the womans paRTS WERE SUNG BY THEM. Youre the fool not I. If you were knowledgeble about opera and music, then you would know.

how do you become a counter tenor, i mean im a tenor myself, and i can sing pretty high, i can actually sing some of his "lower" if you will, notes, but i could never sing those high notes as clearly as he does

Wow, Vitas's voice is amazing. This is one of my faves of his. Nice to hear he's on iTunes now. I was amazed when I found out he was already married a while ago... he seems so young.
