    We're still working on a digital diagram of the digester. Basically the pipes only extend an inch or two into the digester so they can be inserted into the barrel but essentially they are on the side of the barrel.

    Thanks for you interest. Basically the design is a barrel with an influent and effluent line and a stirring mechanism. The liquid level is high enough to seal the main volume from air entering or methane leaving through the influent or effluent lines.

    Sorry for the late reply. The liquid level within the digester is higher than where the pipes connect to the barrel so the only aerobic zone is a small section in each pipe which doesn't create any problems.
