After giving birth to her daughter, she realized that she could not see, (she has a detatched retina. In March and may of 2006 she had surgeries to reattatch the retina which both failed. So she was just left blind in her eye for life. But in January of 2007 she was having horrific pain in her eye and doctors made the decision for her to have her eye removed. After the removal, they found out that she had cancer in it. She is cancer free and no telling what actually caused the detatched retina in the first place. She is fine now. And I think she just wanted to show people what a prosthetic eye looks like :)
