Radiohead - Nude - 4/2/98 (upgraded Audio)

this is a terrific song. I do like the version on In Rainbows better. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I don't believe in smearing someone just because they have a negative opinion on the album.

I agree this has a brilliant bell and organ part.

i think i prefer this version than the album one because of the way he sings it and also because of this wonderful sound when he says "just when you found it..."

I prefer this song of karma police...

i definitely like the album version better, it's much cleaner. I don't mean the sound quality, but the format. Here, it's kind of all around and on album it is composed better, in my opinion.

I first heard this song on an old bootleg b-sides album called The Basement Tapes.. and as polished and 'nice' it sounds in 'In Rainbows', it sounded so much better as a b-side. As much as I live Thom's voice, and 'Nude' is still great, the scratchness and lack of finish seemed to suit the lyrics and song much more in the B-side.

it sounds so "Ok Computer". very beautiful song from a good album

you can really hear how much thom's voice has grown in the in rainbows recording of nude, it's probably my favourite track :)

I agree. This one is awesome and cool to listen to another version. but i am happy with the one thats on the album. it never fails to give me chills

this version is much more intense, and the new one is more out of space, i like both

It was hard for me to accept the new version on the record at first, but only because I had heard this version (as "completed" by Pawel Osmolski) for so long....now I love them both. I did miss the melody from this version. The vocal ooh's on the new one don't seem to carry the same weight as the organ+bells.
The new one has a charm all its own! I wish the last note had been longer...seems like they were following the Miles Davis adage- always leave em wanting a little bit more!

I like this song, it was an OK Computer out take and it sounds like it. It would sound good on that cd, but its like a rough copy of a song. It is so interesting to hear the progress of this song. I feel like the melody has not changed, they have just changed where everything goes. The bass and vocals take a huge departure from this version. This is like the Radiohead demos, I think they should release an official demo cd. I would totally buy the S**t out of it.
