"Nude" performed live at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco, April 2, 1998. This is a very beautiful old version of "Nude" - also known as "Big Ideas (Don't Get Any)" - featuring the organ and glockenspiel. This song was not recorded for several years, and after a hiatus, was played again in a reinvented form on tour in 2006 and finally recorded for the 2007 album In Rainbows.
Keep your eyes open for Jonny Greenwood playing two instruments at the same time!
Don't get any big ideas
They're not gonna happen
You paint your house white and fill in the noise
But there'll be something missing
Just when you've found it, it's gone
Just when you feel it, you don't
You've gone off the rails
She kisses you with tongues and pulls you to the bed
Don't go, you'll only want to come back again
So don't get any big ideas
They're not gonna happen
You'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking
Now that you've found it, it's gone
Now that you feel it, you don't
You've gone off the rails
Many thanks to the tapers and to Wonsaponatime for making the upgrade.
this is a terrific song. I do like the version on In Rainbows better. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I don't believe in smearing someone just because they have a negative opinion on the album.

By leifhuot [Affiliate User] 1200660886 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei think i prefer this version than the album one because of the way he sings it and also because of this wonderful sound when he says "just when you found it..."

wow
love this song though
i definitely like the album version better, it's much cleaner. I don't mean the sound quality, but the format. Here, it's kind of all around and on album it is composed better, in my opinion.

By borleh [Affiliate User] 1200243862 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI first heard this song on an old bootleg b-sides album called The Basement Tapes.. and as polished and 'nice' it sounds in 'In Rainbows', it sounded so much better as a b-side. As much as I live Thom's voice, and 'Nude' is still great, the scratchness and lack of finish seemed to suit the lyrics and song much more in the B-side.

By lovejoyyydiver [Affiliate User] 1199668747 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat definitely sounded more 'OK Computer-era' than the one on the album. Both versions are absolutely wonderful. Awesome video, thanks!

By rockercorey999 [Affiliate User] 1199267431 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecan't get enough of this version, really wish there was a audio of this out!
By jumpkickingninja [Affiliate User] 1199101458 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis version is much more intense, and the new one is more out of space, i like both
By lorak74 [Affiliate User] 1198969672 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt was hard for me to accept the new version on the record at first, but only because I had heard this version (as "completed" by Pawel Osmolski) for so long....now I love them both. I did miss the melody from this version. The vocal ooh's on the new one don't seem to carry the same weight as the organ+bells.
The new one has a charm all its own! I wish the last note had been longer...seems like they were following the Miles Davis adage- always leave em wanting a little bit more!
I like this song, it was an OK Computer out take and it sounds like it. It would sound good on that cd, but its like a rough copy of a song. It is so interesting to hear the progress of this song. I feel like the melody has not changed, they have just changed where everything goes. The bass and vocals take a huge departure from this version. This is like the Radiohead demos, I think they should release an official demo cd. I would totally buy the S**t out of it.
