Fastest Mile- 256.79 MPH on a Turbo Hayabusa

We (SWT Racing Sweden) did a 214.3mph run 2006 with our streetfighter Hayabusa turbo (higher chassi, no fairing, motocross handlebar & 439hp on the back wheel) on one wheel at Elvington airfield/UK and 272mph on a Swedish highway before that with the same bike which then hade a lower chassi and complete Hayabusa fairing why we think - (more text)

i think the best bike would be the ducatti i dont know if i spelt that right but the 999r is stock with a 150 hp if im not mistaken been awhile since i checked the stats tho maybe even the wrong name for the bike

Some of you people posting here are idiots. There are several turbo busas making upwards of 650hp without inflating the numbers. This video is from a ECTA Land Speed event & all speeds are certified. No fudging here. In recent years there have been quite a few turbo Busas running 250+ mph. You got to remember too that Maxton is a standing mile; dead stop to a mile this bike is going 256 mph! Just think what these bikes could do if they had 2 miles of pavement.

it didn't make that much hp on a bike, maybe a car.

low 9s on a 1/4 mile... and 180hp+ and 110 lbs of torque... 0-60 2.4 sec... with a light rider 200 pounds like me... should do a nice demage... well the only way to know if on the track... i only been riding bikes for 7 years... and i was not talkin about cars... see people that think like that are complete idiots. my 250 had more power than i actually needed, if you're riding close to it's limits you're breaking the law anyway. well if a bike that runs 1/4 mile in the high 11s, 0-60 in 3.16, and has 72hp and 48lb torque is a P***y bike, then great i guess nearly EVERY car in the world is a "P***y " too since my bike is faster. the funny thing is i don't care what you think because i can about guarantee i am a better rider. it's not about top speed

actually he didn't say the turbo will get him to 650, he said the turbo was good up to 650hp, meaning the turbo won't start hitting its efficiency limits, till the bike is making about 650hp
