They offer many newly overdubbed recordings of Jim that have never been released.
NONE are from Jim's RCA recordings. Some rare and wonderful stuff!!

This version was recorded in 1962 for a single release. However the album version, with orchestra and Jim singing in a high key, was released instead. RCA didn't want to release the album version but the demand was such that ablum version was released. This version was not released until 1994 in 16-CD box set from Bear Family Records of Germany. Released in the USA in 1995. I think that this is the superior verison the song.

A coincidence?:I was just watching this video last night when I heard the oldest friend of ours had died he was 95.I feel he was looking down on us at that moment in time.He was young at heart.

This song takes me back to a distant past. i used to listen to it via a transistor radio as a small boy somewhere in a British colony. it still sounds good many decades later. thank you Jim for being there for a lad when times were tough
