Timebandit----"not used any technology that cost £7 Billion or put anyone's life at risk "

    Do you drive a car?

I understand your point regarding the "slight chance."
Everything we do, there is a slight chance of a negative reaction. Nothing is certain.
My point is if we allow fear to hold us back, we'd still be dying from polio.
Now, fear used wisely can be an ally.

Such as the fear of global warming motivating reseach.

Hazel O'Connor summed up the mentality of these morons, so called superior intellects in The Eighth Day, back in the 70's. May turn out to be prophetic.

This is so cool. Rather than convincing me LHC is safe, they've convinced me it's cool enough to risk blowing up the world for. COOL.

Nope, gravity depends on the mass of the object.
    Same mass = same gravity

And risk messing up their own timeline? Even though it's all theoretical, you should read up on the butterfly effect and it's effect on timetravel :)

  • I have not used any ...

I have not used any technology that cost £7 Billion or put anyone's life at risk (apart from those who did experiments at the time). Mistake may not be a sure thing, but humankind has made lots of em. In 35 years we've wiped out a third of the world's species, so our track record is piss poor, yet we still smugly pat each other on the back. If even a slight chance of negative reaction, then its foolish..And in the scientists own words "they have no idea of the outcome". Wait for the ricochet...

  • Sure humans make ...

Sure humans make mistakes all the time, but human precision got men and women to space and back safely. Humans managed to work out the amazing equations and precision to land a craft on the moon.
I'm not saying we are perfect by any means, but I am saying we have done some pretty amazing things. Mistake is not a sure thing.

They play with our lives to satisfy their lust to have their name next to another equation in another dusty textbook. The next turn of evolution comes when we stop idiots like these and politicians from F**king up our planet and see them for just what they are. We only got one world.

  • the earth doesn't ...

the earth doesn't have enough matter to create a black hole let-alone sustain one you need at least five times the mass of our sun to be compressed to a near singular size to create one and the LHC doesn't posses enough energy to matter power to create one so stop boo hooing i mean this supposedly sets year zero for time travel on earth just hope we get a visitor from a few billion years in the future as its more than possible to do now we just don't have the ability to manipulate it yet.
