Helicopter Crash

Yes, flying a helicopter is a delicate art and therefore idiots should not be sitting at the cockpit. That guy had several opportunities to kill thrust and set down on the road but he just kept digging his hole deeper (literally, thanks to those blades).

Alos, the helicopter looks heavily loaded and seems not to be able to lift off properly. The pilot then decide to try anyway and goes for speed. But there is no proper space to do that. The main rotor even hits the trees. This still could not be control failure, pure stupidity from the pilot.

This crash is really weird. All I can think of is that it is not a control failure, but instead a pilot error. In fact, a whole bunch of pilot errors.

First off, in the beginning, why is he/she drifting to the left (and slightly backwards)? The pilot has no idea of where the tailrotor is. That is just a VERY bad pilot judgement. If it was a control failure, a normal pilot would set it down on the ground immediately.

Seems to me that chopper was too heavy. maybe carrying too much cargo?

It was an mechanical failure, but the pilot didn't realised it before it was to late.

This was acctualy an main control failure, don't blame the pilot. The last 15 sec he had no control over the heli...

It could have been a mechanical error, but it wasn't. If it would have been the pilot should have had the heli on the ground long before they flew down the street that is made for CARS. Mechanical failures do happen but they don't make people right after taking off fly down streets.

1: pilot starts to steer to dense forest
2: after he narrowly avoids plowing into the trees, he starts to make his way uneasily into a populated residential area.
3: pilot starts flying towards highway.
4: pilot cuts a tree apart with rotors.
5: pilot lands on car.
6: helicopter goes lopsided and chips the highway apart with rotor blades, and then plows into the ground.

And THEN the instructor does something.
