(06/41) (Lecture 1 of 4, Part 6 of 8)
Four lectures by Swami Rama on Saundaryalahari, the Wave of Beauty, which is a prominent text of Sri Vidya Kundalini Tantra Yoga. The wave of creativity, love and bliss of Shakti is one and the same with Shiva. The lectures contain practical advice on advanced meditation practices of Yoga, Vedanta, and Tantra. The 6 hours of talks have been divided into 41 parts of 10 minutes or less.

Lecture 1, Part 6 includes:
Meaning of life
Two parts: influenced by others, or not
Know the immortal part of your being
Three parts are mortal, semi-immortal, and immortal
Body plus breath plus conscious is mortal
Unconscious plus soul is semi-immortal
Self is totally immortal
When saying "myself" which is being spoken of?
Teacher leads you to awareness of the immortal
Pains and anxieties live only in body, breath, senses, and conscious mind
There is no anxiety beyond this
It is in dormant, latent state
First make full effort is to accept that you are a shrine of the Lord
It's not enough to say I believe in God
Still there is suffering
You need to go systematically beyond
If you have known yourself, you know the universe
Learn to understand yourself first
Sri vidya is highest of all vidyas
You are fully protected
Wild elephant story where mother faced the elephant
Mother, shakti, power is within you
Matter is nothing but energy
Yoga science has gone to deeper level
You have shakti within you
You cannot function without shakti
Brain, mind, convictions, actions are not possible without shakti
This path is introduced only when you have enough time
