    no no no, general choi hung hi was the guy that created taekwondo, he was born 1918 and died 2002, he had a black belt 2 dan in karate, and were a taekkyon master, he thougt karate to koreans but felt dishounored by teaching the japanese fighting style (japan had occupied korea) so he spent 9 years developing taekwondo, between 1940 and 1960
