Actually the Dash is alive and well. Our company has 33 Q400's and soon to be 12 Q200's. However you're correct that Scandinavia has stopped flying theirs. The gear issue was only on the Q400 not the other models. But that has been resolved.

Know that gear well - like everyone else has said, dash 8 :)

They make good speed brakes too. When you get a slam dunk into LAX you can drop the gear and put flaps to 30 and nose dive.
