You might benefit from travel abroad, and you would also appreciate how difficult it is to learn another language, especially when you are working long hours at low-paying jobs. Many of us had grandparents who never really mastered English. Don't you think most immigrants living here would like to learn English, if they had the time and money? English.

I do put up a flag on the 4th. The United States Constitution was written in english, our currency is printed in english. I have no desire to go to germany, Fance or mexico. Those who come here to live shuould be able to read, write and speak english for my own safety. After a mexican bashed into my car from behind, I was unable to get information needed for my insurance. Of course he didn't have any insurance. If I ever go to a country that has another language I'll try my best to learn it.

I totally agree with this song. I have been in to many courts where people did not get translators for people that did not understand english.

Expecting people to speak the language of your country is not racism. The people of any country should not be forced to accommodate immigrants. If you want to move to a country you should accept, learn and conform to their culture, their laws, their language, and their meme's in total. Moving to another country and expecting them to confirm to your culture is not immigration it is a cultural invasion.

This is not europe, this is the United States.I lived in Switzerland for 4 years so what that they speak four languages the Swiss population is under 8 million and India has been ran over by many nations in the past 2500 years and have left their marks on them. The United States if you know any history is just ovet 200 years and all the declaration and documents were signed in English and not in Spanish or French. So English is the offecial language.
