she is putting on an act. we all put on an act when we get on stage and if you're doing egyptian and you're not egyptian then you're acting like an egyptian. there's nothing wrong with that. she does it well with her own style. lovely

As an experiment I showed videos of Orit to 7 Egyptians, just like Gypsy suggested. I didn't say anything, just asked them to react on this dancer.

Two of them thought that she's Egyptian and said something like "she's really dancing, not like those western people". Noone said any negative things about her and noone mentioned "overacting". Only one man said "she's good but not as good as the real Egyptians"

there is no better way to express music in dance like this performence

She is fantastic with no doubt, worldwide admiered, who cares weather or not she's bint el-balad??? she is doing waht she is doing in a perfect match for the music, efforless in her dance and with tons of grace, feeling and awsome cool moves...

sweetie you need to read my post carefully before jumping on me like that. I didn't say anything about baladi music or the style that comes with it. I was talking about bint balad, go look it up or ask someone because it seems you don't know what that is.

If she is not bint balad, then she is putting on an act. It's common logic.

I'm misinformed? Baladi is a type of music and a certain style of dance goes with it, are you going to try and deny that?

You don't have to like her dancing, thats down to your taste or lack of it, but I'm just saying she's isn't putting on an act. She is expressing the music beautifully and enjoying herself, you can't ask for more from a dancer.
