Tell me about it. The remake was horrible. Burton butchered a classic. To be fair, I don't know how you could do a remake and have a surprise ending. Everyone knows whats coming.

One of my favorites of all time. How many were infuriated on how much the Burton film sucked.

That's strange. I didn't bother getting the DVD of the Burton film because I didn't enjoy it but back when they were promoting the film Burton was saying in interviews that it was a "reimagining" of the original movie.

I can't see how Burton's film could work a prequel anyway, the story is completely incompatible.
