Very cool version of a great song
Although U2 doesn't quite match the sheer raucous energy of the original
Personally,I think JL897139 is right, but it could also be the Edge's use of a Stratocaster. I'm sure Paul, who wrote the song, used his Epiphone Casino and George played a Gibson on the White album which has a deeper sound more suited to the heaviness of the original.

I love the original version. But I also like this version too, although, as I've read in the other comments, it doesn't catch the song's energy like it should. I think this happens because U2 is a much quieter band than The Beatles.

Nothing can beat the original, but this comes the closest to doing that out of all the versions I've heard.

Bono is just a better vocalist than any Beatle and I like the beatles

I saw U2 do this live in back in the '80's and it totally rocked. I love the Beatles but this version was much better

I don't get what's so amazing about the beatles version. I listened to it and it just sounds too....I dunno maybe the beatles aren't for me. Loved the U2 version though :)
