Great Dane Vs. Baby

My Great Dane is almost 6 years old...gentle giant, they live up to THAT name too, people that don't have Danes just don't understand.. I'd trust a Dane around kids before I'd trust a small breed.. Hell The worst thing that could happen is "happy tail".. my cats have a history of hurting the kids.. never once in these 6 years has my Great Dane EVER hurt any of my kids... I think the video is cute.. the kid and the dane will be close ; )

When he attacks it wont be lovely anymore.. keep the dogs away from kids!

you gotta love Danes... mine puts up with hell, and still loves the kids and the cats...lol

two years have passed since the video was taken...the dog and baby are playing rodeo in the living room - should I stop that too? because in between all of this, the baby hugs and kisses the dog, and the dog cares for the baby more than you can ever imagine.

wow... one of these days that kid is gonna hit that dog with that stick when you're not around and off goes the baby's head into dog's mouth!

It's wrong to teach children to be violent to animals, but come on. The dog even considered it a game. Unless the dog displays aggressive tendencies in some other way, I just don't see the dog being a threat to the child.

I agree, and also it depends on how you train, and raise them.

I have a friend who had a great dane, and he saver his doughters life after a hybrid wolf bit her head, and drug her, the dane chased the wolf breed off, and drug her by the shirt to the front door.

People should be more worried about Bush, or McCain, and our liberty, than the gentle giant.
