FYI the ny times article that i pulled up on the spur of the moment was calld "Surprising Jump in Tax Revenues Is Curbing Deficit". It wa from 2006, but there is another one from may of this year but I couldnt find it on the spur of the moment. I will find it for you if I must. Funny..tax cuts stimulate the economy and increaes tax revenue every time and this still surprises libs. It's called the Laffer curve

I'll be happy to email it to you if you wish, i assume your name is also your web site. It is a study of over 90,000 tax returns over the past ten years

Actually I fear that in a world where giant populations like China and India have so many people who are willing to do anything we do for far less pay, we are going to see our way of life diminish a great deal- and with it the middle class will cease to exist- it'll just be rich and poor with nothing between!

I see the point you are trying to make, but it is laughable. The very definition of employment is if you have a job. This isn't France where you can hold a job for two years and not be fired even if you are a total deadbeat.

My first point was bragging that something is the best in 7 years isn't itself an endorsement for someone that's been around 7 years.

I'll try to make my point again. Bush invented a "jobless recovery." That means if you don't count the people who are not recovering, we have a recovery. In other words, if you don't have a job, YOU DON'T COUNT. That's not a recovery; that's be Karl Rove at work. Same w/ employment stats. If you got 30 minutes a week at min wage w/ no benefits, poof! You're employed!

LOL! It is pretty funny when they start believing their own propaganda! Even with our huge debt, America still has a massive GDP. It just means that we'll have to tighten our belts a bit- which will seem a bit painful to some Americans, but we'll still have a better standard of living than most people in the world. And tens of millions will still risk their lives to live here!

I think too many people are used to late night comedy on t.v. where there's a clear bias- from the reactions here, almost certainly the bias is in favor of those they support- so when a little humor is at the expense of their side they flip out...

1proudneocon, you forgot to factor in the out of work illegal aliens & those that are working have low paying jobs! Until the illegals are all employed & have high paying jobs then we have to condemn our unemployment!
