The Godfather of Green Bay

saw this when Schwaba premiered it at the marcus. it was free. how cool is it for a local filmmaker to do that? and thanks to the marcus. pretty funny. i have the free 7x11(or whatever) movie poster. now i need the dvd. plus i used to live in marinette too - when i was like in 1st grade. someone said part was filmed in a restaurant Micky Lou's. I remember the name, but that's all.

So they shoulda been making fun of Michigan. All parody needs to stop at the UP/Wisconsin border. Gotta civil war goin' on?

Marinette ...that makes sense (thats close enough to michigan). Thats pretty cool man that doesnt happen a whole lot. The only movies i heard of that were fimed around here were mostly cheesey horror flicks. I knew a guy from shawano that did the music for those movies. You wouldnt happen to know a site where i could check out more films done in wisconsin would ya. If you do that'd be cool

Actually Pete Schwaba is from Marinette and the movie was filmed in Northeast Wis. I know this because a former co-worker of mine (Dan Thyne) was a childhood friend of petes and told me about it before it was even filmed. Pete also helped write "A guy thing"

Looks like george carlin produced it to. I doubt they filmed it anywhere in wisconsin though. If they did there wouldnt be too many dumb stereotypes about the people. We're not all football fans. In fact a large majority of fans at lambeau are either rich or from out of state. We're just like any city in the country but state reps and sports casters would have u thinking otherwise. We dont always over emphansize the "a" everytime we talk, thats upper michigan assholes!! GB REPRESENT!!!

What a funny movie!!! I can definitely relate since I am from Wisconsin and the bars do look like that during Bears-Packers game weekends. Nice choice getting Lauren Holly to star in the movie, definite plus there.
