Hi there i must say its a great tutorial but i am still having some problems as you said turn the camera onto M mode so i did but it says on top left hand corner BULB i don't know what that means. Can you tell me what will be the right settings for this camera please.
By djsatty [Affiliate User] 1212763287 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOk, had a feeling it might be more of a hand held technique. Thanks for the quick reply. I've been watching more of your videos and they're all quite helpful.
By Robopencil [Affiliate User] 1212269180 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIncreasing the sensitivity can be very useful in dim light, especially if you're handholding the shot, but if you're shooting from a tripod or another steady place, you can select the lowest ISO and enjoy the best quality. See the dslrtips . com website for more details...
By cameralabs [Affiliate User] 1212260325 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveVery good video tutorial. I'm a beginner myself but I thought ISO was a bigger part of night photography, or photography in dim places.

By eaststidaz [Affiliate User] 1212046097 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat's wrong with the result shown in this tutorial using these settings? The bottom line though is this tutorial shows you how to adjust your settings - it's up to you to judge if the final result is too bright or dark for your particular subject, and to adjust your settings as required.
By cameralabs [Affiliate User] 1211988863 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewtf... before you buy DSLR learn what is photography and how to use camera.... and for night photogrraphy 3.2 aperture is high, and you will have overexposured image (burned image) like here in this tutorial..
ps sorry for bad English
we have the same camera dude, yeah, I checked your website, it's also helpful like hell!!!!
By ryanracca [Affiliate User] 1211758015 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThanks! The camera used in the demo is a Canon 400D / XTi, but the same technique applies to all DSLRs and many compacts too... Don't forget to check out the actual dslrtips . com website itself and the forum at cameralabs . com for more advice...
By cameralabs [Affiliate User] 1211725674 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDUDE, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
because of you I knew how to adjust the exposure and aperture...
BTW, I think my camera is the same as yours....
The key with this workshop is getting enough light into the camera for the desired result. In Program, Shutter or Aperture Priority, the camera uses its own metering, and that's what the problem was here. It got confused and metered too dark for the desired result. Even lots of positive exposure compensation might not have been sufficient. That's why I used manual, as it allows you to fix the aperture and shutter, regardless of what the camera is suggesting.
By cameralabs [Affiliate User] 1211643335 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf all you're going to talk about is adjusting the shutter... go to Tv/Shutter time mode - not Manual mode. Then the aperture will be automatic. Full manual is just too confusing of a leap to take when just introducing changing the shutter speed.
