    are you sure?the coanda S**ks and moves a bigger air mass with less speed than a direct lift fan it seems to me like an helicopter but without the mechanical complexity.the down thrust is the advantage.

    estas seguro diria que el proceso permite jalar, mover una mayor masa de aire y como la salida es mayor que en una turbina direct lift, debiera ser mas lenta, pero minimizando el downthrust eliminas la utilidad del efecto coanda. para que hacerlo asi?

    the only advantage is the simplicity of the steering system. You dont get more thrust than a direct lift turbine,in fact the shape itself produces downthrust. Hovever, this can be minimised.
