From "Arctic Dance: The Mardy Murie Story"(2001).
John Denver sings "A Song For All Lovers".
I love this video!!

I see them dancing somewhere in the moonlight
Somewhere in alaska, somewhere in the sun
I hear them singing a song for all lovers
A song for the two hearts beating only as one

Imagine the morning no longer alone
The arms of another, a place to belong
No longer the struggle, no longer the night
And ever becoming in the quickening light

To see the darkness, to listen within
To answer in kindness, to ever begin
To ever be gentle, to always be strong
To walk in the wonder, to live in the song

In a place of enchantment where the wild things are known
Will the future remember when the lovers are gone?

And I see them dancing somewhere in the moonlight
Somewhere in alaska, somewhere in the sun
I hear them singing a song for all lovers
A song for the two hearts beating only as one
A song for the two hearts beating only as one

For more than seventy years, Mardy Murie tirelessly championed the environment.
Her work led to the founding of The Wilderness Society and the establishment of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
She has been known for years as "the mother of the conservation movement," and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Thanks for posting this great video showing the dialogue between John Denver & Mardy Murie. This was a terrific story with a beautiful song at the end. You can tell how much this meant to Mardy Murie as she listened to John Denver singing
this song. What a tribute for this couple. Thanks again!

  • I had tears in my ...

I had tears in my eyes while watching and listening. I had never heard this song before.

John Denver is ( I don't say was, because he is still alive trough his music, projects and thoughts) a great singer/songwriter but also a great man.

    May God bless him.
