alot of people love this surah and when you read the meaning and ponder over the verses you begin to see why. Imagine the tafseer/explanation of this surah and how powerful it would be. Subhanallaah!

if i may suggest - trim ur beard, be tidy...am equally proud of a Muslim professional (lawyer, accountants, engineer, etc) wearing dark-blue suits, rolex watch, bally shoes, etc,- yet prays 5x a day, masyaAllah.

I guess your right there....It's funny how muslims mock their own religion and the prophets ways...for example...me keeping a beard, i get mocked everyday by my muslim brothers in schoool... they dont understand at all that it was a sunnah of the prophet!

As Salaamu 'Alaykum...Masha'allah! Hmm...All I really know is that he is from Kuwait and thats where he lives. I know he often recites at like Masjid Al Kabeer in Kuwait. Mind you, I think he is an Arabic speaker, and I doubt he speaks English.

My elder brother, Abdul Majeed, expired in 1978 in his 16 years old (my 7th year), had similar reciting style of Sh. Afasy. He is my first Quranic Teacher. Now friends say that my Quranic style has similarity to Sh Afasy. I get remembrance of my brother while listening Afasy's recitation...!! My children always ask to see Sh Afasy. I also really need to visit him. Who can please give me his contact details.
