International
We own the U.S. patent on this unique technology with additional International patents pending, and our first licensed products are due on the market in 2008. In December 2007 Levitation Arts, Inc. filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Federal Court against the U.S. distributor of a "knockoff" levitating globe product manufactured by Simerlab International.

In small scale commercial embodiments, the bulk of the lifting is done with the permanent magnets, and thus very little energy is required even when levitating large weights at large heights. However larger permanent magnets would be required in lieu of this. So the answer to your last question is no.

(what i mean to say could one make a smaller platform and lift the platform with enoremous cargo above it for the price of lifting just the platform? )
