These are Oklahoma's people, I am One fourth Cherokee. These people have carried on their native tongue, as have most of the southwest Indians, The Tewa , Tewi, Zuni, Navajo, And Ute , Choctaw, Chickasaw, Etc. The young people are learning to speak their native tonque. Thank for letting me say this about the Native Americans i know,

Hey all I'm from Aotearoa and I wouldn't have a clue what the lyrics are but thats what I like the most the singing it's so powerfull,spiritual it's human.

not all songs are words. it like "la la la" in the english language just in native. some are words though. and what is with this spiritual. ok maybe but we dont stand around and praise creator all day. just parts.

U.N.I.T.Y. is going to Oklahoma this summer of 2007. Natives from all over the nation will be there with their tribe. Come meet new people, share your culture. Their will be entertainment; food and dances. Their will also be workshops for college and health...Last year UNITY went to Buffalo, NY, and it was fun. Research some more about it. See you there!

for what its worth... Its an Inter tribal dance,, all styles of dancers dance at one time.. Nothing per se spiritual about that at all.The powwow or wacipi are dances of the great plains tribes and dont reflect ALL native styles. Do some research you wannabes
