Very good. Thanks for posting. I just don't get why the obviously decades-old clip of the hugging reunion is suddenly the most popular video on youtube and in the news this week.

I love the caretaker who basically dedicated a good part of his life to rehabilitating these animals.

Very nice story, the message i got out of this is that it's best to let the wildlife stay as that... WILDLIFE, the problem is us and the involvement towards them for our own entertainment! Theses ppl helped to give theses lions there life there way of life!

Austengirl, it probably was psychologically linked to when he was attacked himself by the wild lions - remember he no longer trusted even the familiar lions of his own pride.

Instinct.. is my best guess. Even though grown and raised by hand of man.. The natural instinct is to kill.

This is an amazing story filled with joy, tragic, friendship and love. I am so touched that I almost cried. Wonderful that Christian recognized his old friends and that shows the true feelings of a lion. They do have hearts and feelings just as humans. Its also amazing how George dedicated his life to these lions. There should be more ppl like these. Not hunt and kill them..Great animals.
