I think people are bright enough to appreciate the humour...it's an inside joke that we all are privy to. Nothing magical about it...unfortunately Godrey doesn't know how to ad lib it right and why he continued to S**k at it - from the moment he made the 9/11 and until he fucked up the aristrocat ad lib.

Total agree with you. It seems like Gilbert hit rock bottom that night and continued to dig deeper. Schneider was faking it and all this S**t posted on Youtube is intended to help gather this mans shattered reputation together. Notice this video does not even show the 9/11 joke that brought him to such lows....it's ok, I can find it myself.

Gilbert has more than a few nuts loose in his head. I don't understand his routine even when he's relatively sane. What's with the weird voice...like, what the hell is that about anyway?

Some would say it's tradition amoung comedians, I would say it's because it's the most shocking joke for the audience that will literally make them pale faced. And that's something. I loved the South Park version, the best telling of it.

That's the point. The joke isn't about even what they're saying, the joke is funny because it's a legendary tradition among comedians. The comedians at the show were the only ones laughing.
