I think than even is hard to quit, if you really want to, you can. Probably a month ago came out a law in my country (israel) that prohibes smoking in public places such as restaurants, night clubs, etc.. I don't agree with it, because I smoke myself, but I also think is fair to people who don't smoke and don't want others to smoke near to them....

I agree, here in Portugal, a new law came out, that prohibits smoking in closed facilities, like restaurants, bars, night clubs, i think it's great, because i don't smoke.

4 years ago I quit a 50 years old habit of smoking a packet of cigarettes a day. I`m really happy I did it. So you can do it if you want to.

When you are walking down the street and pass by someone smoking a cigarette, do you really think that their second hand smoke is going to be more harmful to your health than the exhaust put off by the cars driving by? I think all restaurants should have their smoking sections completely cut off from the non-smoking with a wall and a sealed door. But once you are outside, cigarette smoke is the least of your concerns as far as second hand health effects. Don't you think?

No, people and their ideas/opinions CHANGE. That's how we get smokers wanting to quit.

People who smoke to irritate non-smokers are assholes. I'd like to sneeze around them while they're eating. Its the same thing.

I feel offended when smokers want to smoke everywhere and feel its against their rights to make anti-smoking laws. what about my rights to breath in the smoke. I feel no smokers deserve priority (based on health).Nice campaign Oprah!!

hahahah yea no. i started smoking after rehab. i was a heroin addict at 12 yrs old. smoking helps me stave off the disease. GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF MY SH*T OPRAH

I don't understand why others would try to make other's quit smoking. I smoke and am aware of the effects of smoking. I smoke because I am able to enjoy and partake in it. I have no intention to stop. If one is compelled to quit, then they shouldn't have even started smoking in the first place.
