The current lineup of The Oak Ridge Boys as they were in 1973. Notice the clean-shaven William Lee Golden!!
Watch closely to see the president of Universal South and former MCA head, Tony Brown, on keyboards!
I dig this song, I never knew the Boys, were hairless!!! How fascinating!

By karie1275 [Affiliate User] 1206631621 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat's great. They are my heroes! I can't remember seeing them in a video this old. It looked like they were wearing wigs! Ha-ha! I'm still a huge fan, I don't care how old they get. I forgot what Golden looked like without the beard! Duane Allen, too!

By mdkibler123 [Affiliate User] 1201895934 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis almost had to be after 1973 because of the lineup.
By CaptainCannibas [Affiliate User] 1193941759 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen I was a kid, I was SOOOO lucky to have a wealth of music presented to me. it wasnt tilla fter growing up that I found out this Oak's album was a gospel album. Still sounds as beautiful as ever.
By karie1275 [Affiliate User] 1192648095 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThanks for this!! I first met the Oaks in 1974 and this is how they looked!! And that is the same band they had then - Tony Brown, Don Breland, Mark Ellerbee, & John Rich. What memories that brought back!! But that is definitely not 1970, like someone else said, Joe & Richard were not in the group in 1970.

By Iceboxer17 [Affiliate User] 1192288761 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOMG, Duane looks soo different without his beard. At first I couldn't believe that was him. William Lee looks different without his beard too. I would had never known that was him. Boy. Richard and Joe haven't changed one bit. Nice vidoe.
By shunlvswx [Affiliate User] 1188236098 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis isn't from 1970. It has to be 1973 or later, because Joe Bonsall didn't join the Oaks until 1973. Also, Richard Sterban joined in 1972, coming from the Stamps (who toured with Elvis)...as did piano player Tony Brown.
In 1970, the Oaks would have been Willie Wynn, Duane Allen (joined in 1966), Bill Golden (joined in 1965, I think), and Noel Fox.
Notice the only moustached one is Joe Bonsall - I saw a recent photo of the group (the same four members from this) and there was a direct opposite - all had beards/goatees/moustaches except Bonsall, who was cleanshaven!
By joh2 [Affiliate User] 1187222820 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveRichard Sterban was born in 1943....He looks and sounds the same in 2007 as he did in 1970.....What's his secret???
By glennsch1713 [Affiliate User] 1186524546 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe sure is different now. I would never say that was William.
By 47krat [Affiliate User] 1186194602 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSure is!! Back then, he went by the nickname Bill Golden, but that's him (before the beard!).
By Oakswarrior [Affiliate User] 1186172891 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewho's the baritone next to richard? (that isn't William is it?)
