ya, there isn't a lot of people who truly care, Canada has huge immigrant population who don't have a connection to the Queen and Quebecois not sharing the lineage don't care. The exploits of the Monarchy are on tv, but it tends to be older English population who care. I'm proud of Canada's past and connection to Britain myself.

The Canadian Military is fine, we do need some upgrades to vehicles and equipment, but I agree with piddflicks that our soldier are amongst the best in the world.Americans tend to disregard population when considering Canada, we only have 35 million people compared to your 305 mill, which means we don't have the same means. Our military is perfectly suited for it purposes and with a lower military budget we can afford to have things like universal health care something your country needs.

No. The term 'Dominion' was dropped officially with the signing of the Canada Act 1982. It had been used sparingly since the 1960's, but was used extensively prior to this time.

Still valid but rarely used today.
