  • umm... the video ...

umm... the video said nothing could be as fast as light, that nothing can be instantaneous, watch it again.

  • No!I am sorry but ...

No!I am sorry but YOU're all wrong. 28 miles per hou = 12.51 meters per second. The video states gravity has the same speed of light. Thats not by far the speed of gravity. On Earth's surface gravity accelerates a body at 9.8 m/s². At Suns surface the gravity accelaration is about 274.79 m/s². Gravity acceleration pedents on the bodys mass. Gravity speed (propagation of gravitacional waves) is a different subject.

there is no way you could prove that a black hole could stop light from escaping you just have to trust the theory or not. i personaly think its logical

possibly because gravity cannot be measured the same way light is.

I'm sorry you're al wrong. Gravity travels at 28 miles per hour, and looks a bit like stringy cheese. Thats if you could see it.

Alright! Just type on google "The Speed of Gravity - Repeal of the Speed Limit" or simply "speed of gravity" and check some of my abstracts.

  • One day I hope that ...

One day I hope that people who don't know the subject they wish to speak about would ask questions instead of asserting flawed knowledge.

Gravity doesn't travel at approximately 9 m/s. A mass dropped near the surface of the earth will accelerate toward it at approximately 9.8 m/s^2. That's your confusion.

  • Light travels ...

Light travels faster then gravity...bottom line, Gravity is approximately 9 m/s and light travels much faster, (not sure the exact number) but it's faster then anything in the universe.

  • No... Gravity isn't ...

No... Gravity isn't "limited" by light. But their speeds are the same. Gravity doesn't "rule the speed of light" Gravity can slow light but so can air or glass. Measuring the gravity field by the speed of light in that field might be possible if you knew the refractive index of that environment.

  • What rules the ...

What rules the limit of light speed? Gravity!
Gravity cant be limited by light speed. Light speed in a given point is the mesure of gravity.

  • gravity and light ...

gravity and light are two different phenomona. physicists say that light can be affected by the gravitational pull--thus this would mean that a pull differs from speed by which light and gravity travel. the same property of light and gravity would be speed. what's different is the effect.

  • That video is a big ...

That video is a big lie! If gravity is not faster than light how could a black hole trap a light beam with its GRAVITY? How a galaxy with 100.000 light-years could be stable if the gravity travels the same speed of light?

  • What a load of crap ...

What a load of crap this is. So you're saying a grenade is made out of mini grenades or what? Way to bring it back a few thousand years. Aristotle would have loved you.

Does this supposed unified theory have any math involved?

  • When I said mini ...

When I said mini universes I really mean different levels of energy much like our "big bang" produces different energy levels or stars in proportion from the center of the bang. fragmentation of grenades don't make little different grenades , just really pissed off pieces of them. Pretty much the same thing.

  • Particle accel is ...

Particle accel is nothing more than a joke. Sure you wack things hard enough you're going to get mini universes so to speak that all look different in proportion to the center of collision , this is because of the energy level not because they are actually different particles. Believe it or not tesla's dynamic theory of gravity is the real answer and so is parts of string theory. I have a unified theory that changes nothing in physics except acknowledging the Aether.

  • Energy is defined ...

Energy is defined as being proportional to a mass times a velocity squared. Kinetic energy is (1/2)*m*v^2. m*c^2 is the energy you would get if you completely annihlate the object and convert it to energy. This is done in particle accelerators on a regular basis. Energy is usually defined as the ability to do work. Work can be considered for instance a "weight lifted through a height".

That we are "curves in spacetime and nothing more" is one hypothesis of many which has no current experimental confirmation and may well have logical flaws. It is what I "believe" as well though so I hope it turns out to be true.

  • You're just ...

You're just misunderstanding what Einstein said because people don't usually make it clear. He said nothing with mass can accelerate faster than the speed of light or decelerate slower than light if they're already traveling faster. Look up Tachyons. Spacetime does not have mass therefore it can expand faster than light which you're correct it did in the early universe. Expanding spacetime is not the same as gravity waves which have in fact been measured and confirmed as traveling at light speed

So why is the equation E=MC squared? If C is the velocity of light, why do you square it in the equation to make mass relative to energy?

  • well Firstly he ...

well Firstly he became awesome at differential geometry and worked out he could describe gravity by a pretty simple equation involving differential geometry.

Secondly you can never prove science. He showed this through his thought experiment, that is if you travel at light speed, you see stand still waves which disobeyed Maxwells laws.

Finally, once again Einstein used differential geometry to explain how the existence of matter warps space time called Einsteins field equations

    that help?
