A compilation of 3 or four days of hawking with my apprentice, Matt, and his first bird, Kitana.
Matt is 16 and is new to Falconry. He trained a dog, Rascal, last year to help flush rabbits.
Through the time I have known him he has become a much more mature guy and his falconry has come a long way!
Please leave me a comment or a rating if you liked the video.
I am open for comments/criticism about what to change or do for another video. ;)
Good job! Good dogs and great bird. Good young falconer. That's how it's done.

Next deer on my hunting lease their lives an asshole that traps owls, hawks, and falcons. I would love to kick his ass for trapping and killing such awesome creatures.

unfortunately although it is a felony to shoot raptors it is rarely enforced and still done today...
Some farmers wonder why there have a problem with mice, rats, and other pests when at the same time they poison the coyotes, shoot the hawks, and trap the other predators...
Usually you are close to your bird when out hunting so that shouldn't be a problem, although I would advise against certain areas or times of the year (like opening day). The bells help too.
Looks fun. Im a bow hunter and would consider this as a hobby. Only problem is redneck, ignorant, rifle hunters love to shoot predators such as the red tail hawk.
