The Danish singer Medina exits 2009 as the greatest singer in Denmark.
The single "Kun for Mig" was the most downloaded song in Denmark and was awarded 2 x platinum and over 75.000 sold copies. Overall she has sold more than 130.000 singles and received platinum with her 2nd single "Velkommen Til Medina".

With the success in Denmark the focus naturally turned onto the rest of the world, with the English version of "Kun For Mig", "You & I".
Since the European release this fall on Parlophone/EMI, "You & I" has had success in the UK where it entered the British Dance Chart as #1, and went directly in A-rotation on BBC Radio 1.
Now the song is taking over the rest of Scandinavia and since October it's been on the Scandinavian Dance Charts. Both Swedish and Finnish radio are playing "You & I" like the song is highly ranked on the sales charts on iTunes.

• "You & I" is released in all of Scandinavia and entered the Scandinavian Dance charts in week 41.
• "You & I" was nr. 1 on MTV chart in Sweden week 40.
• Medina was voted Best Danish Act at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.
• The single has been remixed by international artists such as Deadmau5 and Spencer & Hill.

Since the release of Medina's second album "Velkommen Til Medina" (Welcome To Medina) August 31st, the album received gold and sold more than 25.000 copies.
