why don't u get a very cheap 100 or 125cc to learn the very basics on:) then get ur self a nice 600cc:)

What I meant before was that ... you will be soon redlining a 250 - ergo you will need a bigger bike = ) and for me it would be a waste of money to get a 250 then sell it couple months after -since they don't keep the value well at all ... But to answer the original question ... I believe that you will handle a 600 for the 1st bike however if you want to do it a real step by step get yourself a 250 - my honest opinion.

look, if you have the money and don't care about switching the bike after one season or even ... couple months then ABSOLUTELY go for the 250 - it will be the wisest thing you'll do, because you won't be able to "abuse" the power on it - since it's not as powerfull as the 600cc sport bike.

that guy is right. it does look like a 600 besided the narrow rear tire. i really like that kawi changed the look of the 250...and the price is 3500 retail that is a deal. i would say this is the PERFECT bike for new riders.

Nice bike, I just bought the 2007 so guess I will ride it for another summer before getting the 08.
