Great to see this match up never would have guessed it. I have driven many E39 M5s didnt think this result would of come. I know my 04 CLK55 and the M5 are neck and neck to 155 so this is good to know! But go BMW and this car is 9 model years old!

I can testify to that too. My first car was a 1987 Renault 5 GT Turbo - it was much faster on cold days because - like the effect of an intercooler - colder air condenses better to give more power. It makes a huge difference if it is 5 or 25 degrees celcius (40 or 80F).

The RS4 is a fanstastic car... But the m5 still steals my heart, every time i drive it. I just love the styling and the torquey engine. Once again, a great movie (test) from the m5board people!!! Cheers guys.

Heat outside has BARELY anything to do with performance. Are you aware the inside of the engine is MUCH MUCH hotter than the outside of the air?

Are you aware that the oil temperature is 3 times the outside air on a very hot day?

The only time temperature matters is when it's very cold out. Shows how much you know.
