MANY people say free speech, which is why the kind of media consolidation Moyers is talking about is a form of mental imperialism. having 3 or 4 stations, driven by profit, dictating our civic discourse is a disgrace. media democracy champions a PLURALITY of voices, that is, allowing for "far left" "far right" and apolitical loons to have their own LOCAL radio stations, and to free the airwaves (and webwaves) from the interests of a powerful few.
