The Kaval is a woodwind instrument - an end-blown flute. The Duduk is a reed instrument. While versions of the Kaval ARE found all over eastern Europe and Turkey, they are all flutes, completely different from the Duduk.

To: dobri22-The duduk original came from the Tracian people and everybody knows(I hope) that the home land of tracian is Bulgaria.The duduk is one of the first double reed instrument and was made original of bone 9 century BC.Many years later( perhabs centuries) it was made of walnut or chery wood.The other name of it is kaval. The armenian, macedonian,serbian and causasus people use it now.But it is BULGARIAN, because it is coming from TRACIAN!No Question!The yogurt came also from BG.
