I remember this ride, F**k he only had it at 4000rpm aswell... I remember talking to the owner and there was 8000rpm on the clock... What i wouldn't give to ride in that baby just once down the track!!! Any chance of that hahaha

That's for sure and it's part of the job for them. Spectators usually stand further away, but some don't. Ive gotten used to it, but im still careful, but it certainly wakes you up.

Yep! I notice the guys driving them wear ear protection, you'd get permanent hearing loss over time if you didn't!

Ive stood by them I didn't run, but that's cause ive gotten used to it over the yrs going to the races alot and watching them run. Ive done the video camera thing to that you did.

Thanks! The mike on that camera can only capture really loud noises, so I'm glad it does that well, LOL!

Yeh I can empathize with that one! My ears had a continuous high pitch ring for about 10 minutes after. Beautiful sound though, can't beat a V8 :D

I'm pretty sure I suffered some hearing loss after that! Thats the only time my ears have actually hurt just from noise, I'd like to know what the decibel level was!

Nice one! How did your ears feel after that one! I tried videoing Mark Holland's Blue Thunder once, but only lasted about 3 seconds before he started hitting the gas - had to block my ears then!
