David can be a little aggressive and sarcastic as has been noted by several celebrities in the past . Aishwarya acted appropriately for someone who is not familiar with David's demeanor . She displayed a human defensive reaction which is nothing to get critical about . I would have done the same thing as it appeared that he was making fun of her . She is quite beautiful , by the way . For the record....I really like David Letterman's style.... but wasn't crazy about his interview with her .

Dave always acts like that, he plays around with all his guests. He's not trying to get under her skin, Dave is just being Dave. She simply took him the wrong way.

He often does this to just to get a reaction, a good guest would be able to crack a joke or something here to get the audience laughing. Otherwise, you get a boring interview, and that is not the kind of show they run. If the guest doesn't have a funny or amazing story, then Dave has to try to get a laugh.
