Roger Waters - Amused To Death (live)

Waters has been my hero since high school, and I finally got to see him perform last summer... If you get a chance to see him, I *highly* recommend it. One helluva show.

I was on Roger Waters in Prague 2002. this is wonderful as the whole album of course.

Geddy Lee is a better bassist... My wife worships and idolizes him. But Roger Waters is a better lyricist, and *I* idolize *him*. Not to mention when I went to the Waters concert last year and saw him do the clock sound from "Time" with his bass strings, I was completely knocked out... I'd always thought that was a percussion of some sort.

Wow, have I mentioned that one my my very favorite songs of all time is "The final cut". Yes, Geddy Lee is, overall a wonderful musician.

Well said, actually, I think we can agree that Geddy is a master at what he does. Hehe. But Roger, he is a legend too. Love this song, and The Final Cut most of all.

Touche, my friend. I knew I left myself open to that counterpoint. Well said. I still wouldn't call Geddy Lee a master of the bass, which is not to say he's not a very good bass player. To call him a master is pushing it.

Geddy Lee is quite the master of the bass, but you are missing my point. Roger is so much more than a bass player, and when I look at him, I don't even see the bass. I see brilliant lyrics, excellent composition, and heart felt pain that is well expressed into a song. He is a genius. If you are going to talk about singing and playing bass at the same time, then I refer to Geddy Lee once again, who controls that position unrivaled.
