Yeah, you would think that he would want to leave the comments. After all, when he proves that it is real, he can then laugh at us for being stupid enough to think that it is fake.

Bushing is one of the main hackers of the Nintendo Wii. I'm pretty certain that he does know. How about you address some of his points, instead of saying he doesn't know? Don't worry about it though, as I'm sure that this comment will be deleted.

Problem 1: You don't prove you don't have a drivechip installed. Open the console, show us the drive PCB.
2: Bootstrapping problem, as noted by others. If you can boot your hack disk without a chip, you're done -- you can boot anything. No "command batch file" required.
3: Unlike parallel or serial cables, USB requires a protocol stack on the other end. There's no way to just plug a USB cable into a computer, "expose" the wires, and then do something useful with it, other than tap power.

Hm, looks interesting. I remember a loader that worked by connecting the Wii to a PC via a serial port which required soldering, probably obsolete now, "WAB's ISO loader" or something.
And to the last comment : Wii has been running homebrew in Wii mode for a few months now, running Linux even using USB drives. In fact theres even a dvd player out for the wii without a modchip over at hackmiiDOTcom.
I'm not saying this is real or fake, but your reasons for it being fake are wrong. We'll see.

USB cant be used in gamecube mode anyway, thats a technical limitation of the wii.
