how many years you need to get a black belt in judo? any 1?

I'm a junior brown belt and I've been doing it for about 7 years, but seriously, judo is used for self defense and it is illegal to use it outside your club or a competition unless you need to as a last resort. If someone challenged me to a fight I would just walk away.

uuuh, the first two UFCs that im talking about had basically no rules, if u remember... bjj DOES in fact have two different kinds of styles. for sport and for street. and yes, its not perfect for all settings, but nearly all fights go to the ground, and thats basically y its so effective. but yes, i do stress mixing it up with other styles

UFC has too many rules to be saying one art is better than other 'because in UFC....' I don't think BJJ would be as useful in real life street fight situation as some other arts. My opinion is that you don't get 3 five minute rounds to get a triangle hold on someone etc. As soon as you go to the ground in real life, there's a world of possibilities that BJJ doesn't deal with. Can you imagine yourself rolling around floor trying to get a Jiu Jitsu move in a nightclub?

judo is a great art. but if ur gonna be stupid and practice only one art, its gotta be BJJ. but even a BJJ master cant stand up to someone who practices BJJ and kickboxing. you gotta mix it up. relying on one style will screw u over. the gracies beat all the major styles in the first two ufcs. now everyone mixes with BJJ, so the gracies get beaten cuz they dont strike.
